A small aromatic fruit from the citrus family. Dried, it gives a resinous, gently spiced flavour to northern Vietnamese dishes.

Litsea cubeba · mountain pepper
Lemony mountain pepper prized for its essential oil and for seasoning beef, fish and seafood in highland cuisine.
