Entering 2026, the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment said that the forestry sector aims to maintain a forest cover rate of about 42% and export turnover of about 18.5 billion USD. At the same time, the sector will promote the development of large-diameter forests, apply science and technology, digital transformation, and trade promotion.
The focus in the coming time will be on diversifying markets, reducing dependence on key market groups, building the “Vietnam Wood” brand, and developing forest environmental services and the carbon market.
