Ong Cua ST25’s entry into the UK is an example of the affirmation of the quality and foothold of Vietnamese rice in the world market.

Ho Quang Tri Private Enterprise and EUTEK Group have recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement for Ong Cua ST25 rice in the UK.

According to Mr. Nguyen Hai Nam, Business Development Director of EUTEK Group, after exporting the first shipment of Ong Cua ST25 rice into the UK, they received many positive feedbacks from the Asian community in the foggy country.

Ong Cua ST25’s entry into the UK market is an example of the affirmation of the quality and foothold of Vietnamese rice in the world market.

“The upcoming EUTEK Group development strategy is to focus on promoting to distribute rice products and specialties from Vietnam in this market. In particular, the FTA between Vietnam and the UK officially becoming valid in May 2021 was the motivation to boost the rapid trade growth between the two markets, ” Mr. Nam said.

Mr. Ho Quang Cua – the “Father” of ST25 rice said that, previously, Ho Quang Tri Private Enterprise had exported two containers of Ong Cua ST25 rice into Australia and received positive feedback from consumers.

“Currently, some countries are asking for buying ST25 rice. I am considering before signing the partnership, ” said Mr. Cua.

In addition to exporting to Australia and the UK, Mr. Ho Quang Cua’s ST25 rice has also just been included in the menu of the Japanese Cabinet Office. According to the Vietnamese Trade Office in Japan, for the first time, ST25 rice of Vietnam is put on the menu of the Japanese Cabinet Office.

In the brochure at the Japanese Cabinet Office, ST25 is famous aromatic rice from Vietnam. After more than 1 year of negotiation and quality inspection, Spice House Co., Ltd. has succeeded in bringing ST25 rice to consumers in Japan.

To bring ST25 rice into the Japanese market, Vietnamese enterprises must pass more than 600 strict technical standards along with very high requirements of Japanese consumers.

From sowing, quality monitoring, harvesting, packaging, and storage, the processes are strictly controlled to ensure the quality of fragrant rice with a naturally sweet taste.

Thus, the export of ST25 rice to the Japanese market is proof that Vietnam not only exports much rice but also delicious rice, meeting the very high standards of the Japanese market.

ST25 rice quality has been recognized internationally when it achieved the title of “Best Rice in the World 2019” in the Philippines and won the second prize at the “Best Rice in the World 2020” competition held in the United States.

ST25 rice is named after where it was studied and produced. ST25 is Soc Trang 25. This is Soc Trang aromatic rice, studied for 20 years by Engineer Ho Quang Cua and Dr. Tran Tan Phuong, Engineer Nguyen Thi Thu Huong. The ST25 variety is a famous new aromatic rice with many “premium” qualities.

In 2019, ST25 rice was recognized as the best rice in the world after surpassing Thai and Cambodian rice at the 11th World’s Best Rice contest organized by The Rice Trader.

By 2020, ST25 rice won the second prize at the “Best Rice in the World 2020” competition held in the United States.

And in the early days of September 2022, Mr. Cua ST25 rice continued to enter the UK market as proof of the affirmation of the quality and foothold of Vietnamese rice in the world market.
