Despite price fluctuations and unfavorable factors from the international market, Vietnam’s pepper industry has maintained an impressive growth rate, with a turnover of nearly 1.4 billion USD in 10 months.
According to statistics from the Vietnam Pepper and Spice Association (VPSA), in October 2025, Vietnam exported 19,430 tons of pepper, including 16,464 tons of black pepper and 2,966 tons of white pepper. Pepper exports brought in nearly 4 billion USD in 10 months despite falling prices.

The average export price for the first 10 months reached 6,628 USD/ton for black pepper and 8,683 USD/ton for white pepper. This result is an increase of 36.6% and 34.4%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
The United States remains Vietnam’s largest pepper consumer market, with a production volume of 44,262 tons, accounting for 21.4%. This result represents a decrease of 29.4% compared to the same period in 2024.
Next is the UAE with 17,304 tons, accounting for 8.4%, an increase of 18.8%. China ranks third, with 16,567 tons, accounting for 8%, an increase of 79.1%. According to the VPSA, Vietnam maintains its position as the world’s largest pepper exporting country. However, the country is facing competitive pressure from Brazil. This competitor has weak domestic currency and low logistics costs, which helps boost exports to Europe and the Middle East.
